JWB Custom Bows can take up to 4-months per order, depending on the style-type of the bow and whether or not it is sinew-backed.
JWB Bows are all one-of-a-kind and available readily for purchase. Availability varies as our stock of crafted bows is continually changing.
JWB Composite Horn Bows are made with 100% natural materials, nothing synthetic or man-made.
A JWB Composite Horn Bow is a traditional composite bow made from only these materials: sustainably harvested water buffalo, ibex, or sheep horn;
various wood; deer, elk, or horse sinew; finished with goat skin, birch bark, or uncovered; and is laminated together with JWB glues of fish air bladder
and/or tendon. There are no hidden man-made materials or synthetic elements in these bows, as they are real composite bows. The horn is on the belly, facing the archer, and sinew on the back of a wooden core. When the bow is drawn, the sinew (stretched on the outside) and horn (compressed on the inside) store more energy than wood for the same length of bow. These bows are the most complicated traditional bow to make and they can take up to 24-months to create.
